Slobbery, Furry and Heavy Therapy Dog Brings Smiles to Reiffton

He's 240 pounds, furry, and—well—quite slobbery, but Reuben sure knows how to make Exeter students smile! Handled by Lisa Simons of Comfort Caring Canines, Reuben is a certified therapy dog who has been visiting SHS regularly for several years. He first came to Exeter as part of the SHS's inaugural Mental Health Awareness Fair, and after the counseling team saw how much joy he brought to students, Lisa graciously began bringing him in for weekly visits.
This year, Lisa is expanding Reuben’s visits to other schools in the district and was excited to stop by Mrs. Kimberly Watson's class today, bringing extra smiles—and a few slobbery kisses—to students at Reiffton! Our heartfelt thanks to Lisa, Reuben and Comfort Caring Canines for all they do to brighten the days of our students!
